Thanks.
And one last question tonight, the seller changed the exhaust to a much louder one maybe to distract me from the transmission noise..
So the exhaust is now very loud and I'm not sure if it can pass TUV(TUV is due 03.2017). So will it be the case that the TUV guy see the exhaust and say it is not the same exhaust that pass TUV this year, and let me change the exhaust?

Sorry for asking so many questions..

Robin.

flxNo, checking shouldn't cost you a dime. But just to be safe, ask them only for a free check if it can be registered... if you say you want it registered and the guy tells you that it's not possible they may charge you (unlikely, but possible).

I am a gearbox specialist. Unlucky to say, the noise you have, might be your gearbox. If it would be the clutch release bearing you would hear the noise if you press the clutch. For me it would be no problem to fix it,but it is to expensive. In your case I would buy a used gearbox and a new clutch kit. In this case the most expensive will be to change the parts. A proper gearbox rebuilt would be around 500 Euro.

Hi,

Are you sure it's gearbox? Because changing gear is very easy for me and the gear does not slip out. I thought my gearbox is very good, but i'm not sure..

Actually the seller leave me a honda exhaust, but from other model..
Do you live in Recklinghausen? It's a pity that you live far away from me, otherwise I'll let you do the job and I can learn a lot about honda from you..

Maulwurfn is right. If it was the release bearing, it would be audible when the clutch is pressed not vice versa. Kinda logic, you release the clutch when you press it. As I said, I'm no specialist, sorry for a false suggestion.

Anyway, since you're able to switch gears easily without noise I'd still say it's a bearing. But as he said, changing it would be to expensive. Best bet is to get a used gearbox and a fresh new clutch.

The TÜV guy can't say anything about your exhaust when checking your spoiler for registration. Only 2017/3, when you have to go to the "Hauptuntersuchung" you can get a problem.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I treat it as a long project, I will drive it like this for a while. After getting enough clue, I will then seek for used parts and look for pros like you guys do it for me..
Anyway, I look forward to visit you Friday afternoon or Saturday, to help check my car based on your experience..

Yours, Robin.

By 500euro, you mean only the labor cost?
How much is it if I drive to you and you do it for me? And how many days you need?

Thanks.

A little update from today..

The noise is metal rattling noise, it comes out when idle(not loud) and becomes louder when in gear and when I accelerate, but disappears when I press the clutch.
I went to 2 car shops, they said it may be the main shaft bearing. Some suggest I change the gearbox which is easy than changing the bearing(less hours), because that way I don't need to open the gearbox.
So, I think I will be looking for a good used gearbox now..
Anyway, I will pay 25euro to ATU shop and they will look into the transmission and gearbox for me tomorrow. A guy there said he drived del sol for many years.

So, shall we meet this weekend? Friday after work or Saturday good for you?

Yours,
Robin.

Unfortunately I'm busy Friday and Saturday. Sunday would be the only option.

Main shaft bearing could be a reason. But as they told you, switching the gearbox is the cheapest way. Let's see what ATU tells you tomorrow.
